VVC is excited to announce that the Ontario Volleyball Association's U17 Boys' Challenge Cup Championship East Tournament will be held Saturday, January 12th at the main Canadore Athletics facility. If you love to watch high caliber volleyball, this is your chance to come out and see teams from across Ontario compete for gold. Our very own Vision U17 boys will be in the mix against teams from cities such as Ottawa and Markham.
"The U17 level of boys' volleyball is quite fast paced and exciting to watch. Many of the players on the opposing teams have been playing against each other for several years, so the rivalry is always intense." said Amedeo Bernardi, President of VVC. This is one of four tournaments leading up to the final Provincial Championship held in Waterloo in April. The U17 Boys will also be headed to Edmonton to compete at the Nationals in May. "North Bay and area is fortunate to have two solid youth clubs such as the Lakers and our own Vision teams representing the region in the sport."
Vision Volleyball encourages everyone to come out and support our local athletes. Games start at 9am and attendance is free. Just follow the U17 Boys' tournament signage at the main Canadore/Nipissing campus to the Canadore gym.
