The Vision Volleyball U14 girls team competed in the Ontario Championships in Waterloo April 19-21. The girls competed strongly all weekend, significantly increasing their provincial ranking.
The girls competed in Division 3 and entered the weekend ranked 89th over-all in the province.
They dominated their pool on the first day winning all of their games without dropping a set. This allowed them to move up to Tier One where they began play on Saturday.
They continued their winning by defeating a team from Kitchener 2-0 followed by a team from Burlington 2-1. They finished Saturday with their first loss of the tournament, falling to the Oakville Thunder.
On Sunday, they won their way into the quarterfinals where they battled hard but lost to the Hurricanes Blue from Burlington.
With their strong play all weekend, the Vision team moved all the way up to finish 5th in Tier One (top tier) in their division. The only games they dropped all weekend were to the eventual gold and silver medalists in Tier One.
The U14 Girls Vision Volleyball team is coached by Heather Peake, Danny Gosselin, and Rachel Burk.
